PAYMENT AND PRICING

What a customer should see before a payment is made.

GtoSky uses server-created payment requests so the amount shown to the customer is fixed by the booking or approved request, not entered by the customer.

Document version 2026-08-13

Business details are still required for a public payment launch.

This policy is structured for a UK residential repair service, but GtoSky must publish its verified legal entity, customer contact route, service coverage, VAT treatment, and complaints details before it accepts live public payments.

1. Price shown before payment

Before a customer pays, GtoSky must show the exact GBP amount, what the payment covers, whether it is a booking deposit, diagnosis fee, approved repair balance, or another request, and any VAT or unavoidable charge that applies.

The booking review should show the appliance category, property address, appointment window, payment amount, and the material cancellation information. Customers should be able to correct booking details before payment.

2. Deposits, diagnosis, parts, and repair approval

A booking deposit is not automatically the total repair price unless GtoSky clearly says so before payment. If diagnosis identifies further work, GtoSky must explain the additional price, parts, labour, and any relevant conditions before asking for approval.

Customers should not be asked to pay for an unapproved additional repair through the initial booking payment. Any later balance request should identify the approved work and the exact amount due.

3. Secure checkout and payment methods

Card details are entered with the configured secure payment provider rather than in GtoSky’s booking form. GtoSky should not store card numbers or security codes.

GtoSky must display the payment provider and accepted payment methods accurately when live checkout is enabled. It must not apply a consumer card surcharge.

4. Confirmation and receipt

After payment verification, the customer should receive a durable confirmation, such as an email, containing the booking reference, appointment details, amount paid, the payment’s purpose, terms version, cancellation information, and the identity and contact details of the responsible trader.

A booking is not confirmed merely because a form was submitted. GtoSky confirms it after the secure payment response has been verified.

5. Paying safely

Customers should use a GtoSky secure payment link or the booking-reference lookup. GtoSky should never ask a customer to send card details by email, text message, or telephone.

Customers can read the terms and conditions, cancellation and refunds policy, and privacy policy before proceeding.
